Pigface (Carpobrotus glaucescens) is a hardy, native groundcover known for its thick, fleshy leaves and vibrant, daisy-like flowers that range from bright pink to purple, blooming mainly in spring and summer. Growing low to the ground, it spreads up to 2 m, thriving in full sun and well-drained, sandy soils, making it ideal for coastal gardens, rockeries, or as a fast-growing groundcover. This plant is drought-tolerant and excellent for stabilising sandy soils. Plant in spring or autumn, and water sparingly once established.
