Lemon Scented Conifer (Cupressus macrocarpa), also known as Lemon Cypress or Monterey Cypress, is an evergreen conifer valued for its fresh lemon-scented foliage and vibrant yellow-green colour. It typically grows to around 3 m tall with a spread of 1–2 m, making it ideal for hedging, screening, or feature planting in smaller gardens. This plant prefers full sun to part shade, thrives in well-drained soil, and requires moderate water, particularly during establishment. It tolerates coastal conditions and responds well to regular pruning.
