Japanese Wisteria (Wisteria floribunda) is a vigorous, deciduous climber admired for its stunning, fragrant cascades of purple flowers that appear in spring and early summer. Perfect for covering pergolas, fences, and archways, it brings a dramatic and elegant touch to any garden. With proper support, it can reach a mature height of 9–10 metres. Wisteria prefers full sun and well-drained soil, and benefits from regular pruning to promote flowering and control growth. Once established, it is hardy, drought-tolerant, and low-maintenance.
