Edible Ginger (Zingiber officinale) is a tropical herb grown for its aromatic, spicy rhizomes used in cooking, tea, and natural remedies. It has upright, lush green foliage and grows well in warm climates with part shade and rich, well-drained soil. Plant it in spring and keep the soil moist during active growth, then harvest the roots once the leaves begin to yellow. Ideal for garden beds or large pots in frost-free areas. Grows to around 1 metre tall.
