Wild Currant (Antidesma erostre)

Wild Currant (Antidesma erostre) is a hardy, dioecious native shrub with lush green foliage and a naturally bushy form, ideal for native gardens or habitat plantings. It produces clusters of small, glossy berries that turn from red to deep purple when ripe, attracting birds and suitable for jams or preserves. To ensure both male and female plants for fruiting, we recommend planting three or more together; it thrives in full sun to part shade with well-drained soil and minimal care once established.
