WA Samphire (Tecticornia lepidosperma) - also known as Sea Asparagus - is a succulent, salt-tolerant Australian native plant found in coastal and inland saltmarshes. It has fleshy, jointed stems that range in colour from green to red, especially in cooler months. This hardy plant thrives in saline soils and full sun, making it ideal for habitat restoration, coastal gardens, or as a bush tucker plant, with young shoots sometimes used as a salty vegetable or garnish.
