Mauve Snail Vine (Sigmoidotropis speciosa), also known in horticultural trade as Phaseolus giganteus, is an unusual and beautiful tropical climber prized for its distinctive mauve, lavender and purple flowers. The curled, snail-like blooms create an eye-catching display among the lush green foliage.

May also be encountered in horticultural trade under older or alternative names including Vigna caracalla, Phaseolus caracalla and Cochliasanthus caracalla.

A vigorous twining vine, Mauve Snail Vine is ideal for growing over trellises, pergolas, fences and other garden structures, where it can create a lush tropical feature and add colour throughout the warmer months.

For best growth and flowering, plant in full sun to light shade in fertile, well-drained soil. Water regularly during active growth, keeping the soil reasonably moist without allowing it to remain waterlogged. Occasional feeding and light pruning will encourage healthy growth and help maintain a manageable shape.

Supplied in a 140mm pot.

Fast service and my plant arrived healthy and just as described. I have used this company many times and always extremely satisfied.

The plant's arrived safe and sound. They were a little dryer than I expected, but in reasonably good nick. I will plant them today reading the information and see what happens.

I couldn't buy any Plum tree's locally, so Birsbane to Port Macquarie it was - they were fast and efficient and my trees look great.

Ladybird notified me as soon as my tree was back in stock, which didn't take long. I received it really quickly, within a few days and was regularly updated about it's delivery status.
It was quite squashed in the box it arrived in but have followed instructions and hope it recovers and thrives once planted. Thank you
