Davidson’s Plum ‘Smooth’ - (Davidsonia johnsonii)

A rare and highly ornamental species, Davidsonia johnsonii (Smooth Davidson’s Plum) features glossy leaves and clusters of smooth-skinned, deep purple fruit with tangy, rich flavour. The fruit lacks the fine hairs of other species, giving it a cleaner finish for cooking and eating. Prefers part shade, moist, well-drained soil, and regular watering. Grows around 4–6 m high and 2–3 m wide, ideal for subtropical gardens and bushfood enthusiasts. Unlike the NSW and QLD forms, its smooth skin and glossy foliage give it a more refined, ornamental look. Supplied in a 140mm pot.
