Bromeliad Red Pitcairnia (Pitcairnia sanguinea)

Pitcairnia sanguinea, commonly known as Red Pitcairnia, is a striking terrestrial bromeliad admired for its vivid red flower spikes and graceful green leaves with deep burgundy undersides. Native to tropical South America, it brings vibrant colour and texture to indoor plant collections or sheltered outdoor areas in warm climates. It typically grows to a height of 0.5–0.8 metres and spreads about 0.4–0.6 metres wide. For best results, grow Pitcairnia sanguinea in bright, indirect light with high humidity and well-draining, consistently moist soil. Avoid frost and waterlogging, and provide good air circulation to support healthy growth. Supplied in a 165mm-200mm pot.
