Asparagus

Asparagus is a hardy, long-lived perennial vegetable grown for its tender young spears. Once established, it produces more each year, with new shoots emerging closely around the crown each spring. Over time, the crop size increases significantly, making it ideal for regular harvesting using a cut-and-come-again approach. Asparagus thrives in rich, well-drained soil and full sun, and can remain productive for up to 20 years. Mature plants can reach up to 1.5 metres tall when left to fern. Suitable for garden beds or large, deep containers. Supplied in a 140mm pot.
