It produces the largest tree-grown fruit in the world, with jackfruits weighing up to 36 kilograms. The tree has glossy, dark green leaves and can grow to a large size. Its fruit is known for its sweet, aromatic flavour and is used in both ripe (sweet) and unripe (savoury) dishes.
