Davidson Plum (NSW form)

The Davidson Plum (NSW form, Davidsonia jerseyana), is a slender subtropical tree native to NSW rainforests. It produces large purple fruits with tart red flesh, ideal for jams, jellies, cordials, and sauces. Fruiting occurs prolifically from November to February. This endangered yet widely cultivated tree thrives in moist, fertile soil, prefers protection when young, and matures to 4–8m tall, making it perfect for narrow spaces or as a striking shade tree.
