Giant Avocado 'Jala'

The Avocado Giant Jala is an impressive Australian bred variety known for its exceptionally large fruit and smooth, creamy texture. It produces avocados that can weigh up to 1.3kg, making them a lot larger than typical varieties. The fruit has a thick, dark green skin that provides excellent protection, and inside, the flesh is rich, buttery, and mildly nutty. The tree typically grows up to 4-5 metres in height, and thrives in warm climates. ‘Jala’ has been nominated for the 2026 NGIV Plant of the Year.

Good size trees, in 5L grow bags, grafted, thick trunk, and approx 70cm high above the pot. Given the right conditions these trees will begin fruiting within 2 years.
